A Night With Neil Diamond at Alexa Park LV

ROB GARRETT’S “King of Diamonds” LAS VEGAS SHOW RESIDENCY CONTINUES ON in the “Modern Showrooms Las Vegas” at ALEXIS PARK HOTEL.

Neil Diamond is one of the greatest and most admired singer/songwriters in rock and pop music history.

Besides being one of the biggest selling and record-breaking touring artists ever, he’s also composed the songs of a generation — including some of the most recognized songs on the planet.

In the beginning of 2018, shortly before his 77th birthday, Neil Diamond retired from touring after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s.

However, Diamond’s on-stage legacy continues to be celebrated for audiences throughout the world through tribute artist Rob Garrett, known as America’s premier Neil Diamond tribute performer.

Ask Alexa “who is the best Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll hear the same name.

Like his musical hero, Rob Garrett was born in Brooklyn, NY.

In the spring of 1974, his parents brought him from New York City to Las Vegas, where, at age 16, he witnessed his first live Neil Diamond show when Diamond made his attendance-breaking Las Vegas debut at the Aladdin Theater for the Performing Arts (now “PH Live”) in July 1976.

Garrett went on to see him 16 more times across the country—right up until Diamond’s final U.S. concert at the Los Angeles Forum on August 12, 2017.

In 1980, Garrett created his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a decade-and-a-half career in Las Vegas and across the nation before deciding to move from cover band frontman to a full-time tribute performer dedicated to one of his musical idols.

In 1995, Garrett was hand-picked by the legendary Paul Revere to portray Neil Diamond in the “Legends in Concert” show in Honolulu, Hawaii.

What was meant to be a short engagement turned into a three-year residency.

By August 1998, Garrett was back in Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another two years before deciding to go independent.

He began a busy tour circuit, building a devoted fan base along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds Las Vegas.”

He continues to perform to sold-out venues nationwide, often in venues reserved for national acts.

Garrett has also won numerous awards, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”

“Since he (Diamond) announced his retirement, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.

On May 19, Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating his 50 years living in Las Vegas and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.

Now in 2025, Garrett celebrates 45 years as an active Las Vegas entertainer, with the last three decades devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.

It has been said that no other tribute Neil Diamond tribute Las Vegas night out idea artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has appeared at more Vegas stages than any other.

Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the only continuous Neil Diamond tribute in the U.S..

The Alexis Park Resort is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., near the Las Vegas Strip.
